For Spirion to work properly in a Mac environment, you must add Spirion, the Endpoint Service, Endpoint Watcher, and User-Agent to Full Disk Access and Accessibility.
For Spirion to work properly in a Mac environment, you must add Spirion, the Endpoint Service, Endpoint Watcher, and User-Agent to Full Disk Access and Accessibility. If your organization uses Catalina or later, you will want to double-check to make sure that both Sprion and the Endpoint Service are listing in Files and Folders.
To do that do the following:
- Click the Apple icon at the top left.
- Click System Preferences from the menu that appears.
- Click the Security & Privacy icon.
- Click Privacy from the top tabs.
- Click Full Disk Access.
- Click the padlock on the bottom left.
- Enter in your Administrator credentials and click unlock.
- Click the + button and navigate to the Spirion App.
- To add the Endpoint service, Watcher, and User-Agent, navigate to Library>Application Support>Identity Finder and add those apps respectively.
- Repeat this process for Accessibility.
Note: Catalina users check to make sure that both the Endpoint Service and the Sprion App are in Files and Folders.
Note: All four Apps can be added to JAMF to grant automatic access. Please see JAMFs guide on how to do this on the jamf.com website.
