MFA Enrollment Instructions

Multi-factor authentication enrollment instructions
NOTE: This document is using MFA with a Microsoft account. Each client may have a different process within their Office 365 Tenant
Note: Spirion supports MFA for Spirion Sensitive Data Platform console access when using native authentication. However, when clients enable SSO, MFA is typically enforced at the identity provider level rather than through Spirion.

Once Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled on your account, you should receive the following prompt when you login to any Microsoft online resource such as https://portal.office.com.

If you do not automatically receive the prompt below, you may manually enroll at https://aka.ms/MFASetup

  • For VPN access you must use mobile app authentication or phone call authentication.
  • For access to other resources such as the Office portal, Salesforce, Dropbox, etc. The additional verification options such as code by text message are valid. Mobile app authentication is recommended for ease of use.

If you were prompted automatically, the enrollment page will forward you to your original destination once you click Done.

If you enrolled manually, you will be brought back to the "Additional security verification" page once you click Done.

You may close this page.
