How to Verify Your Scan Classified a Location
Spirion Sensitive Data Platform, when instructed to so by Scan Playbooks, classifies files or emails (referred to as 'Locations') that contain sensitive data. This article describes how to verify the scans you have configured to classify locations have done so.
Note: At least one Classification or Shred action must be set in a scan playbook (on either the "Yes" or "No" path).
To confirm a scan (search) run by Spirion Sensitive Data Platform, when encountering a file or email (referred to as a 'Location') with sensitive data, classified the file, do the following:
- Navigate Scans > All Scans from the navigation men on the left.
- From here you have two options:
- Select the Scan you are looking for:
- Hover over "Done, With Results" and then select View Scan Results.
- Hover over "Done, With Results" and then select View Scan Results.
- Select Scan results:
- Filter for the location or you are inquiring about.
- The classification is listed under the Classification(s) column.
- In the case that there are multiple classifications, hovering over the word "Multiple" shows which classifications were applied to the location (file or email).
