About Multi-factor Authentication
This topic examines how Spirion Sensitive Data Platform enables users to log-in to the Spirion console using Multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Spirion Sensitive Data Platform supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) for console logins:
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Google Authenticator
There are 3 configuration options available for Spirion Sensitive Data Platform console logins:
- Disabled
- No multi-factor authentication is configured for any account and there is no option to use it.
- Optional
- Users that do not have multi-factor authentication enabled are prompted to enable multi-factor authentication at login.
- They are able to skip this step if desired.
- Always
- Users must use multi-factor authenticationat all times.
Note: Configuration of multi-factor authentication for your Spirion Sensitive Data Platform environment console logins requires changes from the Spirion Operations Team.
Note: Spirion supports MFA for Spirion Sensitive Data Platform console access when using native authentication. However, when clients enable SSO, MFA is typically enforced at the identity provider level rather than through Spirion.
